About Family Mediation Cheshire

Louise is a member of Resolution. She completed and passed her family mediation training with Resolution in April 2016 and completed her refresher training in March 2023 with LADR.

Louise earned her law degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2004, graduating with a 2:1. She furthered her legal education with a post-graduate LPC at the College of Law, London, qualifying with Commendation in 2005. She started her legal career in August 2005 with a firm in Kent, primarily focusing on Family Law, and qualified as a Solicitor in August 2007.

Louise is a proud member of Resolution reflecting her commitment to best practices in Family Law. She adheres to the core values in her work every day by helping separating couples reach amicable and effective arrangements for their children, and when resolving their financial affairs on divorce or separation. Louise is committed to upholding the core values of Resolution, helping separating couples find amicable solutions for their family matters.

Louise Martin has been otherwise known as a family lawyer for the past 2 decades. She has most recently worked at a firm of solicitors in Shropshire, where she built a family department. Louise had overall supervision of the Family Law Team in Market Drayton and held the roles of Director and Head of Family Law in Market Drayton for 7 years.

In June 2025 Louise left her legal practice to concentrate on helping separated couples as a Family Mediator, and is currently non-practising as a Solicitor. She is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in family law which she brings to support clients in her mediation practice .

Outside her professional life, Louise enjoys spending time with her young family, which keeps her very busy. She enjoys running and keeping fit, and values weekends away with friends.
